Tuition Angel Grants
The Angel Grants primary purpose is to help St. Alexander parishioners access Catholic education at St. Alexander Catholic School via grants-in-aid. If additional funds become available, other possible uses, including helping to attain additional teachers needed to provide optimal teacher assistance to students, and providing needed educational equipment for the school, will be secured.

Saint Alexander Adoption Fund
Parishioners have the opportunity to adopt a student or a family who attends St. Alexander Catholic School. This may be done as a one-time donation or on a monthly basis.

Tuition Assistance for Catholic School Students
The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) for the Diocese of Joliet distributes hundreds of needs-based scholarships each year. Students K-12 are eligible to apply for financial assistance to help cover the cost of tuition.
The tuition assistance grants are determined on an annual basis. Families must apply each year in order to be considered. All determinations are based a financial aid analysis based on the grant and aid application from the FACTS Company. Families are encouraged to complete this application in January and ensure that all required support documentation is submitted by the March 1 deadline.
Grant notification letters will be mailed by the end of May. The award checks will be sent directly to the schools.
More information and links can be found at the CEF website: www.CEFJoliet.org These scholarships are only available to parishioners who have children at St. Alexander Catholic School in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

James and Dolores Hencken Scholarship Fund
Scholarship money is available through the generous donations of the James and Dolores Hencken family in their parents' memory. All scholarship money is designated for families with one or more children attending St. Alexander Catholic School.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINES
To be eligible for any of the scholarships, you need to complete a Grant and Aid Application. This can be found https://online.factsmgt.com/aid.
Please note, that Diocesan Scholarship deadline is March 1st; however, applications are accepted through June 30th of each year for all other scholarships.
The Educational Foundation will review the information from the FACTS application to determine eligibility for grant and/or scholarship tuition assistance. In certain situations, a meeting with the Principal may be needed.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PROCESS AND NOTIFICATION
In early May, the Educational Foundation reviews the performance of the St. Alexander Catholic School Scholarship Program and determines how much income is available for distribution as Scholarships for the coming school year. The Principal will be notified of the amount of each scholarship in early June. Notifications are then sent out to all the recipient families at this time.
