Welcome to St. Alexander Catholic School, "Where Faith and Knowledge Flourish." This is not just a tag line; it is what happens when children attend our school. The teachers, staff and parishioners of St. Alexander welcome you, because we are "One Family". As One Family, we work together, struggle together, pray together and succeed together.

At St. Alexander, our goal is to provide an excellent faith-based education while making students aware of their important roles as Christians – to support and serve God, each other, their school , and our parish. We strive to keep our curriculum challenging for all students, yet our small class sizes allow for added individual attention when needed. Our students leave St. Alexander well prepared academically for high school and spiritually for life.

St. Alexander has an 88 year legacy of excellence providing quality education to the children of Villa Park and surrounding communities. We are proud of our rich history and poised for future success. We invite you to visit our school and consider becoming a part of the St. Alexander Catholic School family.

Mr. Glenn Purpura, Principal
It is with great anticipation and joy that I begin my seventh year as Principal at Saint Alexander Catholic School. May the joy of Christ reign over all who enter our school. Our theme this year, "Simply Jesus" will give me a direction in everything I do with staff, students and parents. Keeping Jesus first in my thoughts and my words will help me be a more passionate and caring leader with everyone. Previous to my position at Saint Alexander, I was a middle school Principal for three years in Mt. Prospect, and five years in Schiller Park. Before my transition into administration, I taught physical education for nineteen years in Schiller Park. Over the past thirty-three years in education , I have experienced a great sense of gratitude, that God has given me the opportunity to work with children at various stages in their life. It is with this gratitude to God that I continue to work with others for the betterment of society through our children at Saint Alexander. My educational experience, B.S. in Physical Education from George Williams College 1980, M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University 1992 and Certification in Brain Based Learning from Jensen Learning 2009 have given me the ability to transfer my learning to others to help teachers and students Change the World and Make It a Better Place to Live. In an effort to reach out to parents and community, we will have the opportunity for adults to pray together and continue on their faith journey with special prayer sessions for Adults Only during the school in our Saint John Paul II Library.
